London Massed Bugle Band in the Lord Mayor's Show

Added 14th November 2017 by Tom Boorman

On Saturday 11th November, the London Massed Bugle Band took part in the 802nd Lord Mayor's Show in the City of London.

The band is made up of Boys' Brigade and Girls' Brigade members from London and beyond, and included members of the 1st and 3rd Enfield's bugle band.

The event takes place each year to welcome in the new Lord Mayor, with over 6,500 people and nearly 150 floats in the procession. It sets off from Mansion House and makes its way to the Royal Courts of Justice, and after a short break returns by the Victoria Embankment back to Mansion House.

We were lucky to have reasonable weather (relatively speaking for November - we had just a little bit of rain at the start) which made for a great occasion with many thousands of people gathered to watch!
