Company history for the year 1992 - 75th anniversary of the Junior Section (Boy Reserves/Life Boys)

Wednesday 22nd January
The Company is runner up in the Enfield Battalion First Aid Competition.

Saturday 29th February
3rd Enfield Bandmaster Martyn Stogden marries Claire Gregory at Christ Church.

Martyn and Claire, plus members of the 3rd Enfield Band who play a fanfare at the wedding.

March
The Company is the joint winner of the Battalion Squad Drill competition.

March
The Company Band wins the Battalion/Zone Band competition, and Bugle and Drum Team competitions.

March
The 3rd Enfield wins the Battalion Colours competition.

March
The Company comes second in the London District Two Section Drill competition. Enfield Battalion comes second in the Daily Telegraph Shield competition, and the journey home from the London competition is severely delayed due to a bomb blast in the City of London.

Saturday 7th March
The London District Band competitions take place at Kingsdale School. The Company comes third in the Devonshire Cup, and the Drum Team becomes champions again in its competition. The team consists of Sgt Simeon Layzell, L/Cpl Michael Stamford, Sgt Jamie Fryer and Pte David Spence.

April
The 3rd Enfield puts in an excellent performance in the London District Squad Drill final, but the score is hurt by a poor inspection which leaves the squad in third place.

April
The 3rd Enfield enters the London District Gymnastics competitions for the first time in living memory. The team comes second in the Groundwork section, with Simeon Layzell coming second in the Individual Groundwork. The team comes third in the Parallel Bars and fifth in the Vaulting.

April
The Company football teams pulls off the Cup double by winning both the Junior and Open Cups in close fought matches (the Junior match goes to penalties, with the 3rd Enfield winning 4-2).

Saturday 4th April
The Company Display takes place at Enfield County Lower School. The Inspecting Officer is Robert Wallace of the 1st Wormley Company.


May
The Company enters the Waltham Walk and comes second with the team of Simeon Layzell, James Knott and Jamie Fryer.

July
The 3rd Enfield wins the Battalion Athletics competition for the first time in several years.

July
Peter Wakeford becomes the Enfield Battalion Secretary, and Chris Sanders becomes the Battalion Publicity Officer.

Saturday 25th July to Saturday 1st August
The annual Summer Camp is held at Rhossili, Gower, South Wales.

August
The Company wins the Battalion 6-a-side Cricket competition.

August
Jamie Fryer wins the London District Long Jump as part of the Enfield Battalion team, and Daniel Layzell forms part of the victorious Intermediate 4x100 metres relay team. Enfield Battalion comes third overall.

August
75th anniversary of the Junior Section (formerly known as the Boy Reserves and Life Boys): Some of the boys attend a party run by the Battalion. The Anchor Boys also celebrate its 10th anniversary.

October
Some 3rd Enfield boys take part in a London contingent at the Duxford Air Show, putting on a display of Bugle, Brass and Pipe Bands and gymnastics at both the show and the local villages.

October
The Company takes part in the annual Service of Thanksgiving for Sir William Alexander Smith at St Paul's Cathedral, including bugle calls, wreath laying in the crypt and meeting the Dean.

November
Mr Len Street leaves Enfield for Milton Keynes after 22 years of service in the Junior Section and leading the Company First Aid for many years, including winning the London District trophy.

November
Mr Ron Andrews stands down as Treasurer of the Company after 13 years. Peter Wakeford takes over the post.

Summer Camp 2018 in Norfolk

From Saturday 18th to Friday 24th August a group of young people and leaders from the 3rd and 10th Enfield travelled to Beeston Regis in Norfolk for our Summer Camp.

Summer Programme

Over the last few weeks of term our Summer Programme took place on Monday evenings, where we were able to take advantage of the longer evenings and better weather to go out and about and do some different activities.

Junior Section Weekend Camp

From Friday 6th to Sunday 8th July members of Enfield and Inner North London Battalions came together for a Junior Section Weekend Camp at Felden Lodge.
