During 1993

Enfield Battalion Church Parade in Wormley.


Thursday 11th February
Sgt Kevin Cowan obtains 3rd place in the London District Solo Bugle competition.


Friday 19th February
Former Captain of the 3rd Enfield Harold Dye passes away at the age of 91. Harold was Captain during the 1930s, and in recent times had been involved in the life of the 3rd Enfield, helping with old time drill items. He was devoted to the BB movement.


Saturday 27th March
The London District Display is held at Wembley Conference Centre.


April
The team of Sgt Kevin Cowan, Sgt Adam Gardner, Sgt Stephen Stokes and Cpl Daniel Layzell wins the London District First Aid competition.


April
The Company wins the London District Gymnastics Groundwork competition.


April
The Company completes a clean sweep of the Battalion/Zone Band and Gymnastics competitions. It also wins the Battalion First Aid and Squad Drill competitions.


Saturday 24th April
The 103rd Company Display is held at Chace Community School. The Inspecting Officer is Chief Superintendent Alan Wright.


May
The Company comes third in the Waltham Walk.


July
The Company spends a weekend sailing, canoeing and windsurfing at Herts Young Mariners in Cheshunt.


July
The Company wins the Battalion Cricket competition.


July
The Company wins the Battalion Athletics competition.


July
The Anchor Boys visits Paradise Park, and the Junior Section visits Alton Towers for the BB national event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Junior Section.


August
The annual Summer Camp is held within the Snowdonia National Park at Tal-y-bont, near Barmouth. The site is close to the sea. The weather is windy and showery, but all the usual activities take place: sports, wide games, swimming and outings. Every member of the camp reaches the top of Snowden. Steve Wakeford provides the cooking; no-one on the camp will forget the chilli beans!


September
Rev Adrian Bulley becomes the new minister at Chesham URC, after leaving Christ Church.


September
Bill Hutchings moves to Essex and leaves Christ Church and the Enfield area.


October
An exhibition of the history of The Boys' Brigade is held at Forty Hill until the end of January 1994, and is organised by Chris Sanders.


Sunday 10th October
The Company Enrolment service takes place.

Following the November lockdown we were able to meet face-to-face once again on Monday 7th December, which was also our final meeting of 2020.

Despite the unusual circumstances, we were able to get involved in Remembrance activities to commemorate those who gave their lives in conflict.
