Company history for the year 1937

Saturday 9th January
The Company holds its 47th annual birthday party at the British Hall.

Saturday 20th February
The old boys take on the Company boys at billiards, ping pong, darts and tiddlywinks. The Company and old boys begin to make plans for accommodation for club rooms and similar classes. The hut - to be called the Plowman Hut - is to be erected at the rear of the British Hall on Chase Side. The old boys win the sporting challenge by seven events to five.

Friday 19th March
The 3rd Enfield wins the Battalion Colours competition by one point.

The 3rd Enfield comes third in the first round of the Daily Telegraph Shield competition at the Guildhall.

Wednesday 5th May
The Company provides the escort to the King's Colour and the London Colour at the Royal Albert Hall Coronation Display.

Wednesday 12th May
King George VI is coronated.

Saturday 3rd July
The Festival of Youth takes place at the Empire Stadium, Wembley: In the presence of Their Majesties the King and Queen are representatives of over 40 youth organisations in the march past that followed The Boys' Brigade (1175 boys take part in the display).

The 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th Enfield Companies hold the annual Summer Camp at Whitecliffe Bay.

The 3rd Enfield wins the Swimming Shield at the Knight's Lane Baths, Edmonton.

The 1st Enfield Company starts its 50th session.

Christmas at the 3rd

Following the November lockdown we were able to meet face-to-face once again on Monday 7th December, which was also our final meeting of 2020.

Despite the unusual circumstances, we were able to get involved in Remembrance activities to commemorate those who gave their lives in conflict.
