Juniors

Junior Section

What is Juniors?

Juniors is our second section and is for boys aged between 8 and 11.

What do they do?

Juniors have fun! Their meetings are crammed full of challenges, games and activities, usually ones that they themselves have suggested. There are hundreds of activities catering for just about every possible interest. At the same time we try to encourage them to explore other new interests. There is loads of variety and little chance of becoming bored!

The award programme is specifically designed to encourage a child to look beyond themselves. Many are interested in one type of activity - perhaps sports, or natural history. Our special programme provides for such interests and at the same time gently urges them to try others of a different type. This provides a balanced all round programme - which includes spiritual and social input, as well as physical and adventure activities in six different programme zones...

  • Get Active
  • Get Into the Bible
  • Get Creative
  • Get Learning
  • Get Adventurous
  • Get Involved

Juniors will also get to go on trips and days out to places like the zoo or theme parks, as well as going on a weekend camp that is often a highlight of the year.

Juniors is about...

  • having fun
  • making friends
  • enjoying lots of activities
  • trying new things

Through the many different activities, Juniors will...

  • learn about themselves
  • get to know people and learn to work together
  • explore their community
  • personally develop

What is the uniform?

Juniors wear a uniform consisting of a blue polo shirt and optional royal blue sweatshirt. On formal occasions boys will be asked to wear this with school trousers, school shoes and badges that they have earned on an arm band.

When do they meet?

The 3rd Enfield's Juniors meet on a Monday evening between 6:00pm and 7:30pm.

Why Juniors?

Juniors are developing rapidly. Between the ages of 8 and 11, there are big changes in a child's mental, emotional, social and physical development. However, all children are different and have a variety of needs. The relationships we form with children at this age can be important in assisting them to achieve a sound sense of personal and group identity.

Who can I contact for more information?

The leader of the 3rd Enfield's Juniors is Tom Boorman, who can be contacted by phone (07903 605 545) or email (info@3rdenfieldbb.co.uk).
