We are the 3rd Enfield Boys’ Brigade and are an integral part of Christ Church United Reformed Church. We work with boys from 5 to 18 years of age, across four different age groups each providing a exciting programme of activities.
Our group (or Company as it is known) was started on 3rd December 1890 and we are proud to have been serving the local community in Enfield Chase for over 130 years. Find out more about our history.
We are a registered charity in England & Wales (charity number: 1209103).
The Boys’ Brigade locally
We are part of an area group (known as a Battalion) which consists of 12 groups in Enfield, Barnet, Haringey and South Hertfordshire, who we join with for various activities and events including activity days, trips and residential activities. The Boys’ Brigade UK & RoI
We are part of a nationwide organisation which today has around 750 groups and approximately 20,000 children and young people in membership across the country.
The Boys’ Brigade was founded in Glasgow on 4th October 1883 by Sir William Alexander Smith. The enthusiasm of local leaders to provide opportunities for young people resulted in one local group in Glasgow being transformed into a worldwide movement that currently operates in over sixty countries around the world.
