Company Camps

Summer Camp is one of the most anticipated events in our calendar, something we have been doing on a regular basis since 1893 – and on many occasions with other Companies from Enfield and Barnet.

The first two camps were held with the London Battalion. In 1895, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Enfield camped together, as the United Enfield Companies. The first camp under canvas was at Lowestoft in 1900. In 1914 Enfield Battalion had its camp interrupted at Felixstowe by the outbreak of the Great War, no other camps were then held until 1919. Camping during the Second World War was also affected.

In 2000, a special Enfield Battalion Millennium Camp was held and since 2001 the Company has camped with 10th Enfield and also, since 2023, 4th Barnet.

The Company has held many weekend camps throughout the years and has attended international camps run by the BB.
