In July 2026, Joe, Max and Tyla from our group will take part in a 10-day build trip to Mexico, joining other BB members from across the country. Working alongside our build partner, Amor Europe, the young people will help construct a home for a family living in poverty.
This isn’t just about building a house; it’s about providing hope and a new beginning for a family in need.
Each day as part of the build the young people will be hands on building a home from the ground
up, under the supervision and instruction of an experienced foreman onsite. During each day
they will also meet with the local community including children and young people.
As well as making a lasting difference for the family in a local community in Tijuana, Mexico, this experience will have a profound impact on the young people themselves. Through the trip, they will have a wide range of opportunities, including experiencing new culture and community, developing confidence and independence, and gaining valuable life skills. They will also explore issues such as poverty and social injustice, broadening their understanding of the world and their role within it.
Importantly, this project is not just about the trip itself – it includes months of preparation and planning, with the young people actively involved in fundraising too.
How can you help?
The cost of the trip is over £2,000 per person, and with four of our members taking part we are aiming to raise in excess of £8,000. This means there is a lot of work to do in raising the funds to cover the costs for travel, accommodation, food and of course the build costs.
If you feel able to contribute, you can donate online via our JustGiving page at justgiving.com/campaign/bbbuildmexico2026
Alternatively, if you would prefer to donate offline please contact Tom on tom@3rdenfieldbb.co.uk. Donations can be Gift Aided if you are a UK taxpayer. Whether or not you can contribute financially, your prayers are also appreciated.
