In 1939/40, during the 50th session of the Company, a silver bugle was presented to commemorate its Golden Jubilee. The bugle was named the “Plowman Bugle”. The bugle is awarded annually to the boy in the Bugle Band who, in the opinion of the band leaders, has done the most for the band during that session. Before 2010, it was only open to Seniors until it was merged with the Band Trophy.
