R L Plowman Trophy

Robert Lionel Plowman was the younger brother of the famous Captain of the 3rd Enfield, Thomas Room Plowman. He enrolled as a leader in the Company in 1903 and served for many years. He will be remembered for training the wand squad at the Royal Albert Hall Display in 1923. He had three sons and two daughters when he died in 1945 at the age of 66. As a token of appreciation for the work he had done in the Company, a trophy called the R L Plowman Trophy was presented.

It is awarded to a Company age group (11 to 14 year old) boy who, in the opinion of his fellow Company and Senior members, has done the most for the Company during that session. The voting is done by a secret ballot. The trophy is commonly referred to as the Plowman Junior Trophy.
