On Monday 28th April our older lads explored the then-upcoming 80th anniversary of VE Day by looking at some of the key events and figures of World War II, and reflected on how we can strive for peace by looking at Jesus’ example.
On Thursday 5th May, the day of the anniversary, 25 of our young people, leaders and family members joined thousands of others for a celebratory concert on Horse Guards Parade which was televised on BBC One.
They enjoyed a range of musical, acting and dancing performances, and heard powerful stories from some of those who experienced World War II first hand.
