London Massed Bugle Band in the Lord Mayor's Show

Added 20th November 2019 by Tom Boorman

On Saturday 9th November the London Massed Bugle Band took part in the Lord Mayor's Show in the City of London.

The band is made up of members of The Boys' Brigade, Girls' Brigade, Girls' Association and Amicus from London and in some cases further afield, and included members of the 1st and 3rd Enfield.

The event takes place each year to welcome in the new Lord Mayor, with over 6,500 people and nearly 150 floats in the procession. It sets off from Mansion House and makes its way to the Royal Courts of Justice, and after a short break returns along the Victoria Embankment and back to Mansion House. Many thousands of people lined the streets of the City to watch the show, which was also broadcast live on BBC One.

Despite some rain on the return leg it was still a great day out for all involved!
