From Saturday 15th to Saturday 22nd August we joined together with friends from 10th Enfield and 4th Barnet for our Summer Camp, which this year was held in Woolacombe on the North Devon coast.
Our lads were part of a group of 26 young people who enjoyed a packed programme of activities including coasteering, quad biking, high ropes, a water assault course, an outdoor water park, rib boat ride, Beach Olympics, Treasure Hunt, slip and slide as well as on site activities such as football, rounders, a quiz, inflatables, Talent Show, devotions and lots more.
This was our second time camping in Woolacombe (the last being exactly 40 years ago, in 1986!) and our first camp in Devon as a whole since 2005.
Thank you to everyone from the three groups who made the camp possible – we are extremely grateful to be able to work together to provide opportunities like this, and our lads had a fantastic time.
During that week, our Year 11 members received their GCSE results. The lads have all put in a considerable amount of work over the last few months and that is reflected in a fantastic set of results. Well done to them all – we are extremely proud of them! Our prayers are with them in their next steps as some continue on to A Levels and others move to college in the coming weeks.
