Trip to KidzBiz and Enfield Christmas Parade of Light

On Sunday 1st December members of the 3rd Enfield were part of a group of around 50 young people from across Enfield Battalion who came together for a trip to KidzBiz in Palmers Green and to take part in the Enfield Christmas Parade of Light in Enfield Town.

KidzBiz is a soft play centre with slides, ball pits, rope swings and more. The young people had the opportunity to spend time in the play area, do some craft activities and enjoy some lunch from McDonald's.

Following that we made our way to Enfield Town to take part in the Parade of Light. The event was taking place for the ninth year and featured a procession of over 30 floats, including a number of local youth and community organisations.

The Enfield Battalion float was led by the 10th Enfield's minibus which had been decorated with lights, was playing Christmas music and was pulling their trailer which had been decorated as Santa's sleigh. The young people had Santa hats, glowsticks and battery powered lights to light themselves up and we also had the BB's giant inflatable balloon and sail flags, so we certainly stood out!

We had a great time at the parade and it was a good opportunity to publicise the BB name and celebrate the start of the Christmas season in front of large crowds. After the parade had finished there was a fireworks display to close the event.
