Remembrance with a difference

Despite the unusual circumstances, we were able to get involved in Remembrance activities to commemorate those who gave their lives in conflict.

Just before the November lockdown, our Anchors and Juniors met following half term. The group thought about what Remembrance means, with the opportunity to get creative by painting Remembrance rocks.

Although the usual Remembrance Sunday events couldn't happen this year, a small wreath laying ceremony instead took place at the Enfield War Memorial for local politicians and representatives of various organisations. We are proud that Frankie from the 3rd was able to lay a wreath on behalf of The Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association in Enfield.

The BB nationally held a 'Remembrance On Your Doorstep' initiative, where they encouraged children and young people across the country to mark Remembrance in their own way at home, and we're also proud of our members who got involved in this.
