Enfield Battalion Drill competitions

Added 20th March 2018 by Tom Boorman

On Wednesday 14th March the Enfield Battalion Drill competitions took place at Winchmore Hill Baptist Church, 10th Enfield HQ.

Four competitions were held as part of the event - Colours, Single Line Drill, Squad Drill and Two Smart Recruits - with entries from the 2nd, 3rd, 10th and 11th Enfield.

The 3rd Enfield took part in the Two Smart Recruits competition, and although we were the only entry in the competition the boys had to reach a minimum standard to be declared the winners. They performed their routine extremely well despite only a few weeks of practice, and we are delighted to say that they did more than enough to win!

This is the first time the 3rd Enfield has won the Two Smart Recruits competition since 2001, and the first time winning any drill competition since 2006. Well done to Michael and Raphael, our winning squad!

The evening featured a high standard of drill all around, with the other three competitions all being won by the 2nd Enfield. Well done to them and also to the 10th and 11th Enfield for putting on very good performances.
