North London Zone Hare & Hounds fun race and activity afternoon

Added 18th May 2018 by Tom Boorman

The afternoon of Saturday 12th May saw the Hare & Hounds fun race and activity afternoon take place at Grovelands Park in Winchmore Hill.

The event was open to members of all age groups, with the Anchors and Juniors taking part in a short race across the field, through part of the forest area (including going across a water obstacle) and back up the hill to the finish line. The Company Section and Seniors did the same route as the younger members to begin with, before running around the outside of the lake and back up to the finish line.

Following the race there were some activities to take part in whilst waiting for the results, including parachute games, cricket and football.

Despite it being quite wet on the day everyone did well to complete the course, with the team winners as follows: 10th Enfield (Anchors), 4th Barnet (Juniors), 3rd Enfield (Company Section and Seniors).

The 3rd Enfield also had a team in the Anchors event which came third, and well done to Frankie who was the individual winner in the Company Section and Seniors race!
