The below photos show BB Scouts from the 6th Enfield BB Company. Scouting was a BB activity from 1909 until 1927 when the Scout movement took off, and the BB had a Scouting uniform as shown in the pictures.

The last two photos show Pte Gray (left) and Pte Wayling (right) of 6th Enfield; the picture on the right clearly shows the BB Anchor on the belt and hat. At the time, the 6th Enfield was the closest Company in location to the 3rd Enfield, and was based at Trinity Church, which is now opposite Enfield Town Bus Station. Some 3rd Enfield Officers, including Mr Lindsay Blee, went to help run the 6th Enfield. The 6th Enfield closed after the First World War, as all of the Officers were sadly killed in action.

April 1910

The 3rd Enfield wins the Distin Football Cup.

Tuesday 10th May 1910

The 3rd wins the Daily Telegraph Shield again at the Royal Albert Hall. Result: 1st – 3rd Enfield (515), 2nd – 76th London (502 1/2).

Monday 16th May 1910

The Whit Monday Inspection and Sports takes place.

The photo shows the 1st Enfield in the under 16s 100 yards.

Saturday 30th July to Sunday 7th August 1910

Summer Camp is held at Osea Island.

October 1910

The 3rd Enfield gives a drill demonstration at the Brighton Dome, as winners of the Daily Telegraph Shield, in front of Lord Guthrie.

Wednesday 8th March 1911

George Spicer, a great supporter of the Enfield BB Companies, passes away.

Wednesday 12th April 1911

The 3rd Enfield receives a letter from Sir William Alexander Smith, Founder of The Boys’ Brigade, congratulating them on their 21st anniversary, and apologising for not being able to attend the Display.

May 1911

The 3rd Enfield wins the Daily Telegraph Shield in the Royal Albert Hall. Result: 1st – 3rd Enfield (497), 2nd – 21st London (494).

Wednesday 24th May 1911

On Empire Day, the 3rd Enfield holds its annual inspection in the Drill Hall and celebrates its 21st anniversary. Mr Norris Toms, the Founder of the 3rd Enfield, was present. Captain Plowman was presented with a gold watch and a roll top desk as a token of recognition for his hard work for the Company. The Company was given a billiard table for the event.
